Our first Workshop of the year was Spring Flowers in Watercolour and took place in the beautiful setting of the Orangery at Dutch Marketplace, Brookmans Park. The always enthusiastic Deana Kim Page led this small, intimate workshop, where we focused on learning to use masking fluid and wet on wet technique to produce our masterpieces. We started working on our main piece, which was for most of us a floral painting, and while the masking fluid stage was drying we practised on another piece of paper and learnt some great techniques including finishing off with biro for a sketch effect. Back to the main design - and we had great fun peeling off the masking tape and finishing our florals. Well done everyone!
